The website is a private project of the participants of the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt   and is composed of many different sources. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Volker Bräutigam of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management of the FHWS is responsible for the content of this website in his function as chair holder for technical management / digitalisation.

The project spin-off FHWSvsVirus is a spontaneous, non-profit, not-for-profit project, which was created out of necessity in response to the geopolitical situation caused by the worldwide COVID-19 (Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2) pandemic. As the highest premise, commercial and private economic goals are excluded. In contrast, the project is to be financed by public funds, crowd foundations and voluntary donations in an unbureaucratic manner. Should this unknowingly violate copyrights, trademark rights (registered designs) or patents, we apologize and ask for an examination from a charitable and humanitarian point of view. The aim is the collective research and development of an open source/low budget ventilator and its subcomponents for free distribution, further processing and use in the medical environment and exclusion of any claims for damages and warranty.
